Auditions! "Be My Baby" by Ken Ludwig

Forgive me for not blogging earlier about Jeff Johnson's directorial debut and the auditions for "Tom Sawyer."  (The auditions are today between 10am and 3pm -- so that's why I'm apolgizing for the tardiness of this message.)

But here's the information for Ken Ludwig's play, "Be My Baby.":

Auditions:
Mon and Tue, February 1-2, 2010 from 7:30 - 9:30 PM

Director Ingrid Boydston is looking for three men and three women, between the ages of 20 and 70. British/Scottish accents are desireable but not mandatory. Be prepared to read from the script and bring your calender to check for rehearsal and performance availability.

The story centers on Maud, an uptight English matron, and John, a brusque middle-aged Scotsman, who despise each other, despite the fact that his ward has married her niece. When the young couple decides to adopt a baby, Maud and John find themselves flying to California to escort the infant back to Scotland. Stranded in San Francisco through a series of misfortunes, they form a new partnership and learn some startling lessons about life and love.

Auditions will be held at the Canyon Theatre Guild Playhouse. If you have questions, please call the Canyon Theatre Guild box office at (661) 799-2702.

"Funny, filled with laughs and a whole lot of fun!"
