Every person I have met that has since this show has fallen in love with "Phantom."
This is somewhat amazing when you think about the expectations the cast and crew were up against. After all, when most theater-goers think of "Phantom," they think of the record-breaking Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, beloved by Broadway fans since the late 1980s. In fact, I may have already mentioned, that I LOVE the Michael Crawford version of Phantom -- and I have to admit I thought that the Kopit & Yeston version would pale by comparison.
But low and behold, Canyon Theatre Guild's "Phantom" has soulful music, an achingly romantic storyline, and some of the most brilliant performers in the Santa Clarita Valley.
